Give it other names: aliases
"Ines", "the director" or "Mrs Kerith": every way the text names someone.

- Open the card and click Edit (the pencil).
- Under Alias, type each name and press Enter or a comma.
- Accept.
Each alias becomes a tag; its × removes it.
How names are recognized
- Whole words only: "Teon" isn't confused with "Teonic".
- If one name is inside a longer one, the longer wins: "The House of Maps" is recognized whole.
- "the Director" or "the director" are the same. But if a name always has a capital in your work, like "the Earth", Exaratio respects it and doesn't confuse it with "the earth".
- Type each alias with its accents: "Inés" and "Ines" are two different forms. If you use both, add both.
Underlines
- Dots: a recognized name.
- Wavy line: a name two entities share (When a name belongs to two).
- Solid line: a link you made yourself (Link a piece of text to an entity).
Underlines are for you: they don't appear in the book or when reading the work.
An alias that already belongs to another
The dialog warns you right away. You can keep it, but in the text that name will be in doubt between the two.
