The rules of exaratio.com
What you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you use the site and your Exaratio account.
Version v2026.10.21 · effective as of October 21, 2026 · official version in Spanish.
Who we are
exaratio.com and the Exaratio application belong to Adaptive Brain SpA, a Chilean company domiciled in the commune (municipality) of Ñuñoa, in the Santiago metropolitan area, Chile. You can write to us at info@exaratio.com.
When they apply
By creating your account you accept these terms, and we keep a record of the version you accepted and the date. How we process your data is explained separately, in the privacy policy.
Your account
- Use truthful information and an email address you check: that is where your sign-in codes and account notices arrive.
- Take care of your password and your two-step verification. Anything done from your account is your responsibility; if you suspect someone else has gotten in, let us know immediately.
- Each account belongs to a single person. To create one, you must be at least 14 years old, or have the authorization of your mother, father, or guardian.
- We may suspend an account that does not comply with these terms. We will notify you and explain the reason, unless the law or the safety of other people prevents it.
Acceptable use
The following is not allowed:
- trying to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours, or testing the security of the site without our written authorization;
- creating accounts or making submissions in an automated way, or using the site in a way that affects how it works for others;
- sharing your serial number or circumventing the limits of your license, such as the number of computers;
- distributing the Exaratio installers outside exaratio.com.
Exaratio licenses
Using the application requires a license. Each type of license states clearly what it covers: how long it lasts, on how many computers you can use it, and how long you receive new versions. Its conditions and its notice are in plain view under Licenses, and we keep a record of the version of the notice in effect when you obtain the license. From My Library you can see your licenses, download the versions you are entitled to, and free up computers.
Purchases
Licenses are purchased under Licenses, while signed in to your account. Orders are processed by our online reseller, Paddle.com, which is the registered seller (Merchant of Record) for all our orders: Paddle charges you, gives you the receipt, calculates and reports the taxes for your country, and handles questions about payment and refunds. When you pay, you also accept Paddle's buyer terms.
- Price. It is the one you see under Licenses, in US dollars (USD). Any taxes that apply in your country, such as VAT, are added at checkout, and you see the total before confirming.
- One-time payment. Each purchase is paid once. There are no automatic charges and no renewals that happen on their own: if you want to keep a license that expires, you buy it again yourself.
- Delivery. The license appears in My Library of the account you purchased with, a few minutes after Paddle confirms the payment. If you don't see it within an hour, write to us.
- What you are buying. A license to use the application, with the conditions of its type and the notice in effect at the time of purchase; not the application itself. Licenses belong to the account that purchases them and are not transferred to another.
- Refunds. You have 14 days from purchase to request a full refund, without giving any reason. How to request it and what happens to the license are explained in the refund policy.
The Business and Institutional licenses are, for now, arranged by writing to us at info@exaratio.com; their conditions are agreed on a case-by-case basis.
What you write is yours
Everything you create with Exaratio—texts, characters, worlds, calendars—is yours. We claim no rights whatsoever over your works. The application saves your projects on your own computer; that is why we recommend backing them up regularly.
What is ours
The application, this site, the Exaratio brand, and its designs, images, and videos belong to Adaptive Brain SpA. A license gives you the right to use the application under the terms of its type, not to copy, modify, or distribute it.
Versions and updates
We publish each version with its new features, improvements, and fixes in What's New. The version you already have keeps working even if your license does not include a newer one. We do our best to maintain compatibility with current operating systems, but we cannot guarantee it forever for old versions.
Availability
We work to keep exaratio.com available, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance or failures. The application is designed to work offline; some functions, such as activating a license or downloading a version, need internet access.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of work that has not been backed up. Nothing in this limits the non-waivable rights granted to you by the Chilean law on the protection of consumer rights.
Emails we send you
We send you the emails necessary for your account, such as verification codes. You can turn off new version notices whenever you want, and the newsletter only arrives if you ask for it.
Changes to these terms
If we change them, we will publish the new version here with its date. Until the license store opens, Exaratio is in development and these terms may be adjusted often: each change takes effect as soon as we publish it here. Once the store opens, if the change is significant, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account whenever you want.
Closing your account
You can request it whenever you want by writing to info@exaratio.com from your account's email address. If you have active licenses, we will first explain what happens to them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of justice of Santiago, Chile. If you are a consumer, you also retain your right to go to the juzgado de policía local (the local court in each Chilean commune that hears consumer claims and minor offenses) of your place of residence and to the National Consumer Service (Servicio Nacional del Consumidor, SERNAC, the Chilean public consumer agency).
