What it made you feel
Leave on the passage what you felt when you read it, with a gesture, in your own words or both. · 2 min read
Some passages don't call for a note, but for saying what they made you feel. Rest the pointer on a word in that passage and choose Reaction: What did it make you feel? opens.

A gesture, your words, or both
In A gesture choose one of twelve:
I loved it · It made me laugh · It moved me · It amazed me · It surprised me · It kept me on edge · It scared me · It made me sad · It broke my heart · It made me indignant · It made me think · It left me indifferent
And, if you like, write In your own words: what you felt, what it reminded you of, why it touched you. One of the two is enough.
Where they go
In Your notes, next to their passage, with the Reactions filter. When you finish the book, you'll see them all together in What you felt, to remember how you lived it (Your reading, in numbers).
Like the rest of your notes, they're yours: they stay on your computer and the author doesn't see them (Take notes, mark, underline and ask). If you want the author to know what you thought of the work, you can rate it when you finish it (Rate a work, anonymously).
