Make choices in a book with decisions
In a flow book, the story stops and lets you choose; what you choose changes what you read.

- Read to the end of the passage: the decision appears by itself, over the page.
- Choose an option with a click, or with the keys 1 to 9.
What you choose decides how the book continues. Once chosen, it can't be changed.
The moment of deciding
When you reach the last line of a passage with a pending decision, the decision page rises, just as its author designed it, with its options. Automatic advance stops there and waits (Move through the book).
- Choose by clicking an option or with its number, from 1 to 9, counting only the ones that can be chosen.
- See the text, or Esc, sets the decision aside without choosing, so you can read what's behind it. At the bottom, in the center, Back to the decision stays to bring it back. Once set aside, it doesn't appear again by itself until you move away and come back.
- On the page, the decision remains as a mark with its question (or This is where you decide) and the Decide button.
The options
Each option says whether it can be chosen:
- You chose this: the one you took.
- Already done: it cannot be repeated: something you already did in another decision, which isn't repeated.
- Hidden on this path: its condition is not met
- The others look dimmed once you've decided.
If a decision isn't repeated and you already made it before, the mark says You already chose this before, and this decision does not repeat
What's decided is decided
When you choose, the path continues along that option and the rest closes. On the page, the mark changes to say what you chose, with See the stage to look at the decision page again, without being able to change it.
The endings
When you reach an ending, the book says so (You have reached an ending, or the name of the ending) and how many of its endings you have discovered.
To look for another, click Start over. The button asks you to confirm with another click: the path you took is lost, but the endings you discovered stay.
If the path was restored
If your reading was recovered from an earlier copy, a band at the top says This path was restored from an earlier copy: it is no longer the reading that took place
