Writing goals

A length for the book, a deadline or a daily pace, and how you're doing.

  1. Work → Goals.
  2. Under What you set out to do, type what you're aiming for: Words of the work, Deadline or Words per day.
  3. Click Save.

Leave empty whatever you don't want to aim for.

How you're doing

The same dialog shows how much of the work you've done, how many days are left and the pace you'd need, today's count and The last two weeks. The status bar keeps it in view: click it to open the dialog.

What counts

With Count toward the work only what is exported, the work counts only what goes in the book, without notes or drafts.

Per book

Goals belong to the book and travel with the work. Remove the goals removes them.
