Drafts and alternative versions

Leave a document out of the book without deleting it, or keep two prologues and pick one.

  1. In the document's menu, choose Draft.

It's left out of the export, without being deleted, and marked in the manuscript. Publish puts it back in the book.

Set it aside in a folder

Create a folder and choose Move to a folder in the document's menu: whatever a folder holds isn't in the book. Put in the book puts it back.

Several versions of the same part

Of the dedication, prologue, epilogue, acknowledgments and bibliography, the book carries one published; the others wait as drafts.

  • A second prologue is born as a draft and the book keeps the one it had. In the manuscript it's in italics.
  • When you decide, choose Publish on the one you want. The other becomes a draft on its own, without being deleted.
